Bio
Eva Richardson was named Head Softball Coach and Special Projects Director at Lincoln Trail College in 2025, becoming one of the youngest collegiate head coaches in the region and bringing a dynamic mix of experience, energy, and vision to the Statesmen program.
A native of Casey, Illinois, Richardson starred at Casey-Westfield High School before continuing her career at Lake Land College, where she was a two-time NJCAA All-American. She then transferred to Weber State University in Utah, catching for two seasons and helping lead the Wildcats to a Big Sky Conference championship and an NCAA Regional appearance in Oregon. Richardson holds a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management from Weber State.
Richardson joined the LTC coaching staff as an assistant in 2025, where she quickly built strong relationships with players and established a coaching approach centered on communication, development, and mutual respect.
As head coach, her goals include building a championship-caliber culture, competing for a Region 24 title, and preparing every player to reach her full potential on and off the field. She believes strongly in the mission of junior college athletics and is committed to helping her student-athletes succeed at the next level—whether NCAA Division I, II, III, or NAIA.
In her role as Special Projects Director, Richardson is spearheading a major initiative to bring an on-campus softball field to Lincoln Trail College. Her work includes facility planning, fundraising, and community outreach efforts aimed at elevating the program.
