Omoregie Commits to Christian Brothers University
Lincoln Trail College men's basketball standout Gabe Omoregie has committed to continue his academic and athletic career at Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tenn.
Omoregie, a 6'4" forward, made a major impact during his two years with the Statesmen. He averaged 15.2 points per game while shooting an efficient 54.9% from the field. His dominance on the boards set him apart—he led Region 24 in rebounding at 9.4 per game, ranking 16th nationally. His performances earned him All-Conference and All-Region honors.
"Christian Brothers is getting an outstanding basketball player, but more importantly, a phenomenal young man," said LTC Head Coach Junsie Cotten. "Gabe's character and attitude speak to who he is as a person. He embodies everything you want in a student-athlete."
Cotten described Omoregie as the best rebounder he's ever coached and praised his ability to score both inside and out as instrumental to the team's success.
"I am grateful to have coached him for the last two years at Lincoln Trail College," said Cotten. "His best is yet to come."
